Hay everybody, im thinking of purchasing a freshwater stingray I don't exactly what kind of species is the clerk selling because he has them labeled on tea cup stingray which I know means baby rays. There grey and priced at $40. I have a tank with some in habinats. I just have a few questions:

1. What is a good ph level for these rays?
2.What is a good temp for these rays?
3. I dont have a pic of them but there grey can anyone identifiy them?

will need pics for positive id. ph should be aroubd 7, as long as it steady/stable it will be ok. as far as temp, it can vary 72-86 seem to be a range that people use, I keep mine at 82

Well the clerk is sellin them at a very small size i have a tank with the dimentions of 48in. by 18in. by 25in. I know floor space is more important so i'm using this tank as a grow up tank. Also do you know how long it can last in this tank?

Its alreayd been said but for the price and sound of the colour i reckon they are retics :) Rays dont seem too fussy of PH once they are settled i have mine in softer water around 6.5 i think but i know of people who have them in much harder water around 7.6-7.8. Tempreture i keep my fish warmer around 28c to help prevent parasite infections but id say 26-30c is a good place to be ;)

hello there the best to keep is the motoro sting ray and you can contact me if you have not yet had one thanks and waiting on your quick reply

Thanks everybody also aquaticworld the only problem is with the motoro is that I dont know how long can one last in my 4ft by 18in by 25in tank. I would be planning to purchase one at 4-6in. if i get one. I know how motoros are good for beginners because they eat a lot and are easy to take care of. I think i may get a so called tea cup ray because they may last longer in my tank. By the way how long can a motoro stay in my tank?
