I cant get photos up, until i get a camera,
but i need help,
i dunno if this is normal or not but my leichardti has a sorta real think layer of skin? past its gills and has no opening, it sorta inflats as it breaths in the deflates when it breathes out
is this normal or how/can i get rid of it,
im going to do a water change rite now, ev

well i think i just panicd alil cus it looked wierd sorta, never ownd a arowana before,
still a little bit worried tho, btw its in a 18" wide 55 gallon, with a baramundi n 2 eel tailed cats, just a grow out dont freak, the leichardti is 7" same with the bara and the cats are bout 5"

any help would be handy i did a 50% water change with some amtrite down(only stuff i could find, hope it doesnt do more worse then good )and some more salt then usual, i usually put in 2 tps of salt in every week but this time i put in 4 tps
Hope hes all good, hes acting normal swiming around same skitishness as usual still eating like a pig, if the bara doesnt eat it all first!!
 
Plenty oxygenation, and filtration, keep up the water changes with conditioned water. One thing to be careful of with arowanas is when changing the water try to keep the temperature of change water as close to the tank waters temperature. Arowanas are hardy fish if everything is kept fairly stable. Salt can do wonders for them on short term basis, BUT they do not like stress, leichardti are naturally skittish, and can do damage to themselves when under stress.
