I saw in another thread that when a FH "peel" it changes into it's permerment color....

Does every FH peel?

and

When does a FH peel?

not all fhs peel or fade, flowerhorns may fade at anytime there is no set time, for a flowerhorn to fade it has to have the fader gene.

Nope, not all flowerhorn peel. Some stay permanent at what your seeing, some peel. And it peels when you see the fish is darker and slowly seeing different color changes.

If that red is starting to turn into maroon color. It might peel...if not, no chance. But if it did peel at a red color, it's going to turn scarlet or lighter than scarlet.
