I've been using melafix for the past 4 days, but havent seen much change with the cloudyness in the eyes of my piranha. Ive went back to the petshop where i bought my piranhas. He told me not to change the water before 7 days... Dont know what to do anymore, i already lost 1 piranha and dont want to loose another...

run a heater it helps on and make sure your filter doesnt have an carbon in it cause it will neutralized the medicines effect, oh and melafix is a good choice of medicine so just stick to that and dont forget TLC gl

Turn your heater up to 84* and keep medicating the tank. Melafix and Pimafix take time to work, but they work well. If you can, try getting your hands on Pimafix and dose both mela and pima.

After the 7 days, drop the temperature back to 75* (or what you have it at normally) and do a 25% water change the day after (so the temperature can drop down slowly.) Dose the tank with aquarium salt after that and make sure to keep your water clean!

forget the melafix. utter junk.

my id shark started getting cloud eye, just up your water changes, keep it clean.

i did more water changes, made sure to get any scraps of food out of the filter, etc. and within a week his eyes were back to normal and he was doing great. i didn't even add any salt.
