Ok I just found out I got a asain red tail catfish " mystus numuris " it says that there highly aggressive now I'm woried to go to bed because I don't want to see a dead red tail payara when I wake. The payara allready bit the artc for bugging him the artc is about 4 inches while the payara is 6.5 so the question is can the pAyara handle everything or should I do somthing.

I'm also worried to turn of the tank light because catfish have great eyes in the dark where's the payara probably can't see any advice would be highly appreciated for I'm tired.

you never really know who can kill who until it's done. to be safe, if you like your payara, removing the cat is the only way to be sure.

Agreed.

Are'nt both fish from different parts of the world???????I personally stick to the same region in favor for the fishes' well being......The young prized PAYARA is a defanite fish to keep by itself when growing.....You do not want to put this fish in with others if you know it may be harmed by another...The catfish are known to be able to swallow fish that cannot fit in their mouth, and because of this, both fish die of choking............
