Help please!!

I bought a 12" ornate bichir and he has been fine. I noticed his eyes were a little cloudy. I came home today and it look like he has white slime hanging from his mouth. This can't be good.. Any ideas?

Good advice. What are your water conditions? Temp, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH...
