Help please!!!!

First is finding what the cause is, and remedy that problem. Then just do water changes and more water changes

What sort of filtration are you using? A good start would be water changes every couple days, and use something like Prime to detoxify the nitrates. Consider adding plant species like water lettuce and red root floaters, they absolutely gobble up nitrates.

Most likely if wc can't lower ur nitrates then their leaching from the filter or substrate and maybe even rotting food under decor, take out all decor and vac all substrate, then a week later clean filters real good, as long as u have seeded bio u won't crash, if u don't wait 3 weeks after cleaning and vacing to clean filters and or replace media.

Also u may be overfeeding, feed less and that will help. If ur overstocked then obviously that's gonna raise it.

More water changes. if ammonia/nitrites are fine... more frequent water changes are really the only answer other then upgradeing your tank size or down sizing your stock. Over feeding is possible, but imo its hard to over feed your fish. But it is possible to have uneaten food decaying, feeding smaller amounts more often will keep this from occuring. to keep nitrates under 20-40ppm some of my tanks need 50%+ a few times a week while others can go a week or two... depends on the stocking, and feeding. my juvie fish need more water changes as they eat and poop alot more then my adult fish.

small daily water changes and keep checking levels...do not feed everyday until levels are back to norm

I do my water changes regular like I suppose to. I got 11 fish in it they are about 3"-6". I don't think my tank is over stocked. For me filtration I have 2 marineland filters (hang ons) for my substrate I have sand and for my decorations it's all driftwood and fake plants. I tested everything and they are all good except for my nitrates

I did not mean more filtration would lower the nitrates, but most HOBs are under maintained and might be leaching from the filter.
