I believe with Severums the males tend to have a snake like pattern on the front of their face. And I can faintly see the pattern so I am going to say male.
The fins also make it appear to look male. A friend of mine has a female severum and it lays eggs all the time even though the only other fish in the tank are oscars, so if you have no egg laying, then that is another male indicator
Its a male. Not laying eggs isn't really a good indicator though..I have a female who has never layed eggs. Not sure why, maybe she doesn't like her hubby, or maybe the tank is too busy for her...either way, they'll only lay eggs if the conditions are good to them, so I wouldn't rely on that
