This morning my African Lace Catfish (Synodontis eupterus) looked normal, came up to eat, all the normal things. But when I just went in there a little while ago I noticed these light patches just behind his gills. I have never seen this before. I know sometimes he will go a lot lighter when I first turn the light on or if I spook him when I am cleaning the tank, but never patches. They are on both sides of his head. He doesn't seem to be acting any different.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Thanks in advance.

Burn marks? Really...because it wouldn't seem like they would be in the same spots on both sides. He does hang by the heater a lot. So it would make sense I guess....
