My male eureka red male is swallowing eggs now whenever he spawns with my females. What can I do to stop it? Do I have to just get rid of him?

Are you able to 'induce' spawning through water changes, or has any of your substrate/decor changed since the last successful spawn? For me, when I see courting behavior, I do a 40+% water change and then am almost guaranteed to have a female holding within 24 hours. perhaps trying a larger feeding than normal within an hour or two of a water change could help?

No decor has been moved around or anything. He just eats the females eggs before she can pick them up. I don't really need to do water changes because the water level drops by approximately 30% every week from evaporation. So I'm constantly refiling the tank. I feed them pretty well, then I'll skip a day and feed again then the females will be ready to spawn after about 2 weeks of doing that. Also keep the temp around 76.

you do need to do water changes. the fish waste is not evaporating with the water so your water quality will just keep getting worse.
