Hey I have a 125g with a 4 inch tiger O, a 3 inch jag, and I have a 20 gal and I just picked up a male dempsey for the 125, which is in the 20 gal atm due to aggression from the O. The dempsey maybe 4 and a half or 5 and a half inches, it will chase the jag but the O just will attack it and it won't do anything back. Any ideas how to get the dempsey to be in with them peacefully?

Adding new cichlids 1 at a time is always dangerous for the new comer, because territories have already been set up by the current residents. You must rearrange the decor each time to obliterate the established demarcation lines. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Rearange the entire tank so new terratories can be established and cross your fingers. The flip side of this coin is that the one that's being picked on could establish it's own terratory and turn around and be the persuer of one of the previously established fish. In other words there is no garentee in this sceanario but it is the best chance you have. All these fish have there own personalities and some are better at playing well with others. GL.

The O has established the tank as his territory bc he's been by himself. If could separate them for a day in separate tanks and then add them back in at the same time it may work. That's if the redecoration doesn't.
