I have a single discus that is kinda lethargic... doesnt seem to be eating recently.. been about a week... doesnt stay with the pack either... kinda isolates itself and swims quite slowly. and is quite skinny. I do water changes every day... and my water is amonia 0, nitrite 0, and nitrate 0. I have a planted tank, and do not fertilize... yet. i vary their diets but this one seems to have gotten sick? what is going on?

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet. A picture would be helpful to see the condition of the fish. Has it shown white, stringy feces? This is often seen when a fish is suffering from hexamita.

A few questions:

- How many discus total are in your tank?
- What size is your tank?
- What is the water temperature?
- Are all other fish eating?
- Have you seen this particular discus being picked on?

No feces. There was some bubbles on its skin today. All other fish eating. Temp at 83. 90 gallon 7 discus. Not being picked on.

Jesse, can you snap a pic so we can see the bubbles on its skin? Are these just bubbles from the tank sticking to the fish, or are they lesions/pimples/etc.?

sorry for late response... i believe it was internal parasites.. i bought some general cure and threw it into the tank yesterday. fish seems to be a bit more lively today but will have to see.
