Can somebody help me out i just recently brought a fish which is about 5in im trying to find out if its a jack dempsey.. When i bought her they said she was a JD but frm wht i seen nd knw she doesn't look like a JD... Please help any info is appreciated

Agree with philiproso its not a Jack Dempsey, its Herichthys cyanoguttus (Texas cichlid) or possibly a close cousin Herichthys carpintus

Looks like a hybrid. Unfaded red texas.
