I have A silver Arowana I've had for about 2 months and was just fine until today he started freakin out acting all scared and staying at the bottom I don't know what to do.
What size is this silver? Until they reach 20" or so it dosn't take much to set them off...Just walking by the tank can do it. Turning the tank lights off seems to help as does having a few floating plants in the tank.
Thats how silvers are....and one of the reasons we keep eggcrate tops on all of our tanks. They can seem fine when you walk by the tank 99 times but go nuts on the 100th.
Quick is better...they are a LOT tougher and a lot more flexable than you think....also a LOT stronger....have a GOOD grip on the net and make sure its a heavy one. Don't piddle around...have a path cleared...net him/her pull it out fast and get to the new tank ASAP.
I had a lot less of a problem moving our 20" aro...pinky than I did our 18" TSN
