as for the ID, looks like an iridescent shark (pangasius hypothalmus) to me. The head doesn't look quite right though... maybe i'm just imagining it.
 
i'm interested to here what the experts think ...
it doesnt look exactly a IR to me, but i dont know why?

the belly looks too white to me, as well as the dorsal looks more upright than any IR i have seen ??
 
It's a Paroon Shark. They don't get that high dorsal fin until later as they grow. The head profile of a Paroon is thicker.

Thanks sir for identifying my cat. Can I keep two of this in a 50 gal tank while it is still less than 10"?

I would go for at least 100 gallons. Beware this fish can get 5' long, and a real monster!
