do oscars have sensory pits
or it is hith
if it is hith shall i treat him with metronidazole
and will the meds mess up the other fish there
sens
GTs
and gars
i am doing a huge water change now

a picture would really help in being able to accurately diagnose this, but the metro shouldn't negatively affect the others. I'd just place the oscar in a hospital tank to make this easier. Try to find some of the foods that contain metro. as that would be a lot more useful to you.

the oscar is just 5" and the holes looks pretty much like very very tiny pin punctures
and i have only my phone cam to shoot
thus i don't think the pics will come pretty good
i just don't know how it got that
i never feed feeders
i feed them aro sticks, earthworms, dry shrimp, beef heart once in a while and chicken heart once in a while
have always done 30-40% water changes every week
in the morning had fed him dry shrimp and he ate pretty well
after the water change
gonna add some salt and bump up the temp

If the oscar is getting that kind of diet you shouldnt have anything to worry about. The sensory pits on oscars can look a bit like hith, but to make 100% sure we would have to see a pic.

ok i tried getting a few pics but i am afraid they might not help but i shall post them anyway

sorry for the dirty glass and bad pics as well

He looks fine to me, most HITH is brought on by poor water quality, just keep up the water chnages and you will be fine. Ken
