Can anyone help? sorry pix blurry took it with my camera phone but u can still see the red swollen lump under his neck area......will he drown or will it go away? Thanks in advance for any advise...

if all else fails you can alway catch him and use tweezers to pull it out of its throat. i had to do this once with a goldfish that picked up a piece of gravel that got stuck

i have no clue,pm beblondie

That's not good looks infected by the redish sore. I'd say try to net it and remove whatever is stuck in there with curved forceps before it gets worse.

omg how do i pull it out? Ive tryed picking him up and he just wiggles id be afraid to poke im in the eye or squeeze him to death:cry:

man, i feel pain looking at the pictures...

if she can still hunt and eat, how about dropping in small pieces of pellets or bloodworms. Hopefully when she tries to gulp and swallow these soft bits she'll swallow in whatever is stuck there.

If I am in your state, i probably be too panicky to net it up and using forceps to pull it out. Too afraid of collateral damage...

bump...:(

look for a product called tranquil or finquel, or you could try clove oil
these are fish anesthesia and will allow you to handle the fish better.

I have no personal expeirence with these products.
