should i get floating plants? becuase i heard that i need floating plants for the pbass to get used to the tank... and also can i starve them and start feeding them pellets?

You could just get some artificial plants and take the base off and they will float .If they are small yet it will give them a security blanket.Just drop a few pellets in if they eat them good if they don't take them out and try again tomorrow.
at 1.5" id start them on feeder until they are around 6-7" then switch to pellets and prepared foods.
hmm feeder alright i'll see but the problem is that my tem is gasping for air again like my mono that died so i dun want this to happen again. im going to go get plants soon too
