So I tried running a dehumidifier in my apartment today to help with some of the damage from last week's flood, and of course it only makes things worse.

I come home after being out all day and the dehumidifier BLEW A FUSE while I was gone.

I came back to my two largest tanks dark and still.

Rather amazingly I don't think I've suffered any casualties, but all non-atmosphere-breathing fish are acting very sluggish and don't look wonderful. Should I do anything at this point aside from just letting things run? Should I not feed them as I was going to?

Make sure you have allot of air flow in the tank. If they will eat go for it. Watch the temps also get them back up or what. Start with that.

Happily the temps don't seem to have shifted more than a couple of degrees. When the tanks when out my AC did too so they stayed plenty warm.

Do not feed! Reset fuse! Get electricity back on! Increase aeration, battery air pump if need be. Add plenty Prime as emergency stop gap measure! Water change. More Prime for new water in water change. Will not hurt to re-seed beneficial bacteria. Check water parameters. Calm down. When calm down, dude, you need call exorcist or spirit guide or geomancer check out feng shui.

No, this is more than co-incidence / bad luck! Upset girlfriend? Someone doing black magic? Took some Old Kingdom artifact out of Egypt during recent unrest there?

If I were you, I'd climb out the window tonight, lower myself down to old lady's bedroom and look inside window. Make sure when she goes to bed when she takes off her make-up she doesn't wipe her whole face off including her mouth and eyes and nose!

Hah. I'm having a terrible terrible couple of weeks, it's true. Also came home to discover that one of my favorite fish had a big gash in his head, and I don't know from who/what.

I honestly think that the main reason this power outage wasn't worse was because both tanks are pretty heavily planted. Without the 02 those guys were pumping out the tanks might have turned to soup. Especially the fairly overstocked 220.
