Help! Problems with my endli

When I turned my tank lights on this morning i come to find my endli floating at the top of the water, slime coat falling off, eyes looking a little cloudy, snails on him. Idk whats going on, everyone else is fine in the tank including my 4 other polys. Water parameters are fine, plenty of oxygen. Do i need to move him to a qt tank or will that stress him out more? I do 50% WC every tuesday, so im not sure what the issue is.

Yes I am sure that he was still alive, hes dead now. Im guessing it was a gas issue, he had lots of bubbles coming out of him throughout the day, even after he was dead.

That really sucks. Sorry for the loss. Any of the other fish showing symptoms? Did you feed anything differently recently?

Yea Im pretty bummed. He was a pretty fish. No other fish showing any signs of problems. Nothing different food wise, tilapia as usual. He was always a heavy eater too but he didnt eat for like two days before today.

Do you have a pleco or something else that would have eaten his slime coat ? Sounds like the most likely cause.

I had a Green Phantom pleco thats been with my polys since ive owned him (probably 6 months) and he hasnt touched any of them. Idk what happened to him. It was just a very random death.
