First my 20" RTC swallowed the suction cup from my thermometer.

The second problem is with my Bulls eye Bush fish. I came home from work and found it with it's mouth stuck open and it looks like it may have fungus on it's face. I put it in a tank by it's self and added salt and turned up the temp on it for now. The other tank inhabitants are fine. The fish never show any aggression toward each other.
Water tests as follows, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 40. Temp is 78*.
Today is weekly water change day, I was going to feed the fish then change water when I noticed it.

Any recommendations on what I should do?

Not on the second problem, fish ilness isn't my strong point!

But on the rtc eating the suction cup; Every book i've read on RTC always says 'will eat anything that can fit in it's mouth including rocks and suction cups from heaters and thermometers' , so no suprise it ate the cup! Over feed it so it throws up is an option if you're worried about it (maybe a bit messy) other than that i'm not sure. Have read of others large pims suddenly throwing up a load of pebbles before that they didn't realise they'd eaten so it might be ok.

The RTC hasn't choughed it up yet.

No worries on the Bush fish now. Sadly he perished this morning. It was fine all night.
The other fish it was in with are fine, must have been it's time.
