Hey everybody, Well my Ac remora with drain is connected to a large 3 gallon container. It was performing real well in the beginning but a few days ago (would have post sooner but something was wrong with the site or me) i was woken up to about 10 gallons of water missing from the tank...looked around and saw my macro plants for the tang logged in the pump. I took it off thepump and restarted the skimmer. The next day after the tank was filled another 10- 15 gallons of water was out and on my floor...this was all because my 3 gallon jar thing was filled. Question: Now you guys know that im going through potential flooding do to the skimmer, what is the cause of this over and over? Is this the "break in" period? Please Help btw the pump has been off since yesterday because i've been working and cant moitor for flooding.... Thanks everybody and sorry for the questions and long story...very worried

Sounds like you just need to adjust your skimmer, if the water lvl is too high it will flood out fast. If the water lvl looks fine on start up just keep checking back every few min untill you see exactly what it is doing and adjust it from there.

Yeah, I just adjusted to the highest (O ring directly above the drain fitting)...so far looks good. Also how will I know when to adjust it, if you know?

Depends on how wet you want your skimate. The closer the bubbles break to the neck of the skimmer the wetter it will be. I like to skim a little to the dry side and back the water lvl off untill the bubbles are breaking an inch or two from the edge.
