My bigger JD just ate one of my small plecos...he can't get it all the way down. I'm assuming the sucker is suctioned onto his throat or something. Should I be worried?!

I pulled out the JD, and tried pulling the pleco out of his mouth, but all I did was rip off part of the pleco's tail...
do not try ripping it out. All your goona do is hurt the JD, especially if it ate it head first.. You dont want the plecos fins digging into the JD if you pull it backwards..

If he has it there for an hour or more, worry. He could just be slowly gnawing it down... I don't know about JD's but oscars have teeth in their throat and must grind anything too large slowly in their throat but I don't think this is the case with JD's.
You could maybe try wiggling it very lightly to try and break it free?

I would let it be for right now and see if he gets it down, I would not try pulling it out if its tail first, the plecos fins will get pulled open and do some damage.
