Help quickly! - fish burned by heater

My Texas cichlid is sick and I saw him lay against the heater, but did not realize until... he swims away with a couple of burn marks (finger nail sized)
How should I treat this? Will he get scar?

Fish CPR?
Yeah, kinda sucks. I had a black angel fish get stuck between the heater and the glass. I pulled him out, he had a burn on his scales. Lived to tell about it, and just out grew the burn on his scales. Can not even tell that it ever happened, now.

Good to hear it, that relieves me a bit. How long did it take for the fish to make the scarless recovery?

He should recover just fine, but keep an eye out for infections.

I changed 50% water, added a lot of dechol/coat, and added 1tsb aqua salt per gal. If the fish looks strong tomorrow morning I'll add some melafix.
