"would like to sell em or swop m for something nice" dissing the redtail? this is a great species of catfish and you should of thought about this before you bought it.

Don't wanna be rude but did you read up on RTC's before you bought this guy???? That's there thing they get HUGE and eat everything and everyone that will fit in there mouth... Plus you posted this is on the Catfish section not the Classified section...

it went this way: I got m when i went to a guy who is the local guppy dude he sells guppys for cheap , and he told me there was a guy coming that evening bringing a catfish he didnt know what or which one,all said and done i came back in the evening and there he was a red tail! i told him he didnt know what to do with it he just got it for free and was only happy to have saved such a beautifull fish, i told him the nature of the fish and its size long story short after 2 weeks he still hadnt sold him and he said why dont you take it because he is a guppy dude he only has guppy size tanks .
i said alright ill take it so i put him in my 180x70x70 CM with my aro and cichla
just to do him a favor he was only 15 cm then.
i even asked the local zoo i they wouldnt take it.
so you see i only took it ,lo let it swim in a bigger tank while i was looking for
a good owner but now im 5 months further and nobody found, only people who want it but cant take it because of their size tanks,My 300x100x80 cm is arraving next week
but that one is for my arowanas and cichlas, and it still wouldnt really do,
only for again some period of time, and thats not what im looking for i want someone to have him in a tank for the rest of its life its a wonderfull fish.
hope this clears some things up

Good Job on rescuing the RTC wish he'd work out in your tank but, good luck on finding a new home for him...

wow so you are giving the RTC away for free as you got it for free

im sure their will be someone along soon who will take it for FREE :D

someone might take it if you are ready to pay for it to be taken :ROFL:
anyways its a good thing that you rescued the, its just bad that you need a rescue now

anyways keep looking you might find someone on mfk who is ready to take it and near to your place
loads of good luck

the key to keeping them small is to keep them in a 10gal...
they won't grow bigger that their enviroment!!...

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
not really sure if it counts as a rescue if you have to give it away!!:D
just put it in your bathtub.

Ship to montana? I'm always in the mood for free catfish, but I have a feeling you're not in the USA? Good luck, and if you're in the UK there are several monster catfish keepers on here who might take you up on the free offer!
