The front stripes connect which is a trait of a true red terror, however the colors and shape of the body lead me to believe it's not. It's either a hybrid or it's in an ammonia/nitrite infested tank.

How is the activity of this fish? Sitting on the bottom constantly? As mentioned earlier is this fish feeding, that is a big indicator of health. I would guess this fish could definitely be rehabilitated if placed in a healthy enviro.
