Looks like a prolapsed anus to me what do you feed him?

It should go back in on its own given time just keep the water VERY clean and try to give him something that might soften his stool. Constipation is the most likely cause if that is what it is.

He eats massivore, talpia, and shrimp raw no shell. He is a food hog it happened after he ate a bunch of shrimp today. I hope it goes away on its own.

It should, In the event that it doesn't your best course of action is to gently push it back in with a pair of rubber gloves on.

That being said I wouldn't even try that myself you may want to find a vet if it comes to that.

Good luck man I hope it clears up for you

Should I not feed for a day or 2? Yeah I wouldn't be pushing it back in. And what kind of vets would handle fish?

I would just call around I am guessing a normal vet would know someone who could do it if they couldn't

You might want to cut back on food for a while not real sure if you should stop feeding though hopefully someone else can help

I had a P-bass get this from eating too much beef heart it just went away on its own after not feeding any more beef heart

I have heard that cooked peas can help with constipation but have no idea how you could get a ray to eat them

Until someone else can give you more certain advice I would just keep the water as clean as possible and feed lightly

I have had some problems with this on my male leopoldi. It happens when he gets too mutch food (seems like he is very sensitive)... The last weeks i have been very careful not to give him too mutch at the time, but rather feed several times with smaller amounts. Seems to work out well for him.

My advice is to add 2-4 tbs of "sea salt", keep the water clean, and wait for the intestine to withdraw.
When they withdraw, start to feed him small amounts of bloodworms or mysis... but wait a day or two - like you say. Be careful not to overfeed!

I would say not feed for a day or 2 and see if he gets better at all.. Then light feedings for a few days.
