Help Requested: Sand??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for the noob question. Wouldn't sand be easily moved which means the flooring gets exposed? Also, how about the filters sucking in the sand?

PFS is pretty heavy so it won't get pushed around a lot, also just higher the intake of your filter to prevent it from sucking the sand off the bottom

i spent too much money for my sand which is half the size of ur tank but its worth it.
it is caribsea brand called super naturals from petsmart.
it is black sand btw
they had to empty their stock and get some from neighboring petsmart to meet my demand, paid less than the pricing tag they post.

but i read here pool or pond sand is their favorite.

You can't even tell you've done a WC, right after you've done it.. like literally it doesn't blow around at all ... and it looks super great!! It does have to be rinsed very well, I imagine you'd spend a week cleaning enough for your tank..
