Hi my brother gave me 2 of these fish as his tank needed replaced but Im unsure what they are & wondering if anyone could help me please?

It's a loach, but not sure what kind. Hopefully someone that know loaches will weigh in soon.

It’s a botia lohachata, common name Yoyo loach.

The more you have, the more active they become! Most loach species like to have friends so if you have the space, grab some more.

Not YoYo. The markings don't quite make the YO. Looks like botia kubotai.
