Help Resealing Tank

I have a 65g tank I need to reseal as it has a leak, but not sure exactly where.
My question is how to remove the old silicon? Any tips?
I remember trying to do it years ago and it was a mess.

Razor blade and acetone.

Yea, I need a special tool. Did not know they had such a thing.
I had problems with plain razor blades.
I will run by DollarTree and get some acetone too.
