Lemme first subtract the "one's that are no longer with us"

- 8x AAA Grade Koi
- 2x Silver Arowana
- 4x Oscars + 1 that got saved and moved
- 1x Cigar Shark
- 5x Pangasius Sharks
- 2x Hi-Fin Pangasius
- 8x Clown Loaches (Yeah, VERY bad move on my part)
- 1x Sun Catfish
- 2x Green Deacons
- Countless large TinFoil Barbs
- Countless large Cichlids
- 1x Asian RTC

------- NOW TO THE CURRENT ISSUE -------

- Do I bother keeping such an aggressive RTC?
- Is there anything I can do to calm it dowm (tried Power-Feeding already)
- Is there ANYTHING I can put in there that WILL NOT get eaten

RTC is about 24 inches now

FYI & BTW --- I have kept RTC's before, but this one seems MUCH MORE aggressive towards any other fish in the tank. I mean just watching earlier, he ate another Koi and STILL kept trying to take bites out of the other fish in the tank

Wow...those are some pricey feeders! I've got guppies (that were originally feeders) in with my rtcxtsn that he doesn't bother with. Lol maybe you should try something very small and fast!

well for starters its food aggression. anything that fits in his mouth will disappear as any food aggresive fish will be the same way ..so go with fish that do not fit in his mouth and you will be just fine. i mean this is begginer monster fish info

Opportunistic eaters, meaning they will eat everything and anything they can, and they won't stop..... As said above this is basic mfk info but glad ur learning , get a bigger koi and maybe it won't be eaten.

Lostacc said that he had an RTC before so he should what these fish are capable of.I am wondering which sized tank he is keeping his cat in and if it is big enough, perhaps a nice sized pacu would do.

they will eat anything and everything they can fit in their mouths and somethings they can't. I've had an 18" rtc eat an 8" oscar without any trouble. My shovelnose tried to eat my redtail when he was smaller, couldnt fit him in and eventually let go of him, but still tried. did the same with my 12" irridescent shark. get bigger tank mates

tankmates need to be bigger.. and every fish has its own personality.. i had a very skittish TSN a few years ago.. my new one is almost the complete opposite, always out in the open and i can stick my hand in the tank.. and hell just whisker at me ( lol he should be fun when he gets bigger!) while our RTC hides all day and only comes out for food.

Not too many bigger tankmates than a grown rtc. I would say you need to keep him by himself or get rid of him.
