Help!! Sand!!!

I got pool filter sand from a pool supply store, and I did the gallon method where you fill it up with sand and then dump it so the bad stuff stays in the jug, but the water is really dirty and foggy!!! should I run the filter or what should I do?!?!:nilly::cry:
 
clean it more and more and more, you only rinsed it once?
 
It'll take a few days for the cloudiness to go away once the sand has settled; and as long as you rinsed it enough............
 
yes they shoudl be ok
 
you need to rinse the PFS quite a bit, I also ran a HOB with fibre for a couple of days to get any of the small particles that don't settle out
 
i rinse sand till water i am washing it in is clear.
