I have 3 Retics, and the one female has stopped eating. She won't take anything to eat and her hip bones are showing. Thought it might be that it was 2 weeks since I last gave them blackworms but yesterday I feed them blackworms and it looked like she was eating them but this morning she looks thinner and I tried to feed her some more but now she not interested at all. Any sugestions what to do with her.

water temp and parameters? how long have you had it? You mentioned she stopped eating, so you noticed it was eating before? do you remember what could have changed since she stopped eating?

Nitrite 0 Ammonia 0 Nitrate 20-30, Temp 82, 20% water changes ever 4-6 days, Had this retic for 2 months and was very skinny when I got her, then got her fattened up a bit then noticed over the past week she has got thin again, Thought it was cause it had been about 2 weeks since I last gave them blackworms, mostly feeding them bloodworms, which looked like she was taking the bloodworms, so I did go get some blackworms yesterday and once agian thought she was eating them but today she looks even thiner. So really I have no clue what made this change in her appetitate.

dont want to jump the gun, but an internal parasite could be feeding of her food, even if she is eating. can you definately check she is eating them?

This is very possible. Since the water parameters and temp appears to be the right balance. Do you see the ray looking for food when you drop the bloodworms? this would indicate that the ray does have some appetite. and black worms is the best food for a ray that's not eating. you might want to consider treatng the ray with some Parasite Clear in a separate tank, or treating the entire tank, if it is feasible. But mostly, observe to see if it hunts for food when you put in blackworms. At least you know it has an appetite. If not, then I would treat for parasites.

My little ray got the curl and has pasted on and I do think it was possible parisites cause now my other female retic is ill and she always did have an appetite and was the most agressive one in the tank but she is not doing well been given lot of advise from other boards and been tring what they have suggested so hopefully i can save her.

good luck man. i hope that doesnt happen to my ray
