For some time I've wanted to setup a planted tank, and now I have decided to do it. I've decided to use one of my spare tanks since space is limited. I'll be using a 10 gallon tank and I've already picked up 2 generic 18" 15 watt light strips. I know the standard tubes wont be the best, but I plan on replacing those shortly. I'd like to know what are some of the best plants to stock it with and the best places online to ge them. This tank will be more of a refugium for my main 45 gallon tank so the probability of fish in the tank will be minimal. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I already have the substrait but i dont remember what kind off the cuff (since i'm at work atm), but its specifically for planted tanks, ~$30 for 20lbs, i figured that was more than enoght for the 2-3" i'd need. Oh, and plants that are also a little more tolerable to salt.

TIA.

I'm pretty sure Java Fern is very tolerable of brackish conditions. Very little maintenance and should grow quite nicely. Slow grower though. Since you've listed that they must be tolerable to salt i'm not sure if I know any more plants that for sure do well in a bit of salt.
