I have always had south american species tanks, looking to do something different. I have a 75g to work with so help me with substrate, decor and stocking. I want the brichardi to be the main focus, so should there be any one else in with them? I do have a couple of bristlenose if need be. Thanks!

Pool filter sand, some rocks and make it a species tank. Stock six and rehome 4 when a pair forms. The pair will fill the tank with fry and tolerate their own fry.

Just as long as the PH ranges between 8.0 - 8.3, the substrate can be inert. Construct a Limestone hardscape, no worries.

I haven't had any issues with keeping Tanganyika cichlids in a pH of 7.8 and they also have bred quite frequently.
