HELP! Sexing my new Jaguar cichlid

Hey guys new to forums thanks for the info... so I yesterday I purchased my first jaguar cichlid .. was hoping for a male so I did some research on patterns and what not.. this fish in particular has a very golden color and a dominate horizontal stripe.. so i assumed male but i could be wrong haha :) the fish is about 3-3.5 inches long .. please help guys Il provide some side shots and a couple vent photos / video .. all your information would be helpful and appreciated. I have a video of the vent if that helps!

The vent looks female. Females have a U shaped vent males have a V shaped vent. I am not an expert at venting tho so I could be wrong. Males also generally lose the heavy bar pattern and develop spots while females retain more of the bar pattern and less spotting especially on the lower portion of the body and jaw. Maybe a pic showing more side ways profile with the lower jaw will make it easier. The current pics look like the jag has very little spotting around the lower jaw and gill plate.
 
This jag has very weak spotting. It could be from the mood of the fish but with the weak spotting and vent pics my guess is female. I could be totally wrong so we can see what some more experienced members say.
