Male.

I concur with the others, it's a male.

Thats a good thing i was hopefull it was a male. That being said with him being 8" when should he start to form his bump on his forehead and is there anything i can do to make it biger ? Also how big should i expect him to get ? between 14-16'' right ?

One other quick question he is in a 75 gallon tank and im thinking about trying to breed him is there any chance that 75 gallon's is enough room or will i have aggression problems ?

red devils dont get humps on their heads midas do they are closely related......... as for breeding a 75 should work.....

I thought that because they are so cross bred in the hobby that they both get the hump ?

Yes it will get a small hump, not as big as a midas though. The only red devils that dont get a hump will be a pure strain witch are very hard to find most have been cross breed. And yes it is a male. I would recomend at least a 100 gal with a divider between the two, because when they are that size its hard to find a sutable mate that the male wont tareup. Iv been through 5 females befor my male found one that it would pair with.
