Help sexing new 3 inch cuban cichlid

Hello, I just got myself another cuban cichlid in Hope's I find a female for my large Male of about 9 inches, the cuban I just bought is maybe abit over 3 inches and darker if color, wondering if someone wants to take a guess on the sex?

I'm guessing male. A lot more spotting on body compared to females at that size. Plus he does not have a big black blotch or patch on his dorsal fin. (Top fin)
