Help sexing Red Dovii

Hello, I have a 4 inch red dovii and I’m wondering if anyone can help me sex the little guy, he or she is pure white with no orange at all in the pattern

The problem with line bred for color cichlids, is that many of the normal sexual differences (such as spots in certain areas,, or melanin) are bred out.
In normal dovii its pretty easy, but with these, at least until a couple naturally pair up, only venting is reliable.
To tell you the truth, I find it even difficult to determine species. If you hadn't said dovii, (to me) it could be any number of generic central american cichlids.

Yeah it’s pretty difficult, from what I read in these guys the males usually develop some sort of orange pattern or coloration in the body of dorsal fin, but on this guy there’s no color at all anywhere so I’m leaving on female

As stated previously, the normal ways may not hold true with these reds, but lack of spots in the unpaired fins and general body and head shape, I'd guess female. But that's definitely just an educated guess.
