I bought some brochis splendens catfish ages ago.

Of the 6, one has become a dark olive colour, is not eating much and spends most of her time hidden. She also has problems swimming but she does try to eat. She spins and flaps around as if she’s not in control of herself. No spots or markings on her body either. Only physical difference is her colour change. The other 5 are absolutely fine, good colouration, bold, and eat like horses.

What do you think might be the problem?
What do you suggest I do?

ps

( ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate < 12.5 mg/l )

Thanks

I use the term 'ages' loosely.

They are about 1.9 inches long. Had them under a year.

What do ya think?

The problems you posted do sound like stress related could be a infection with the fish hard to say the only thing to do if this has been going on for more then a month is to isolate it not knowing whats causing the stress i would look for any obvious signs ich worms ect if their is no signs i would start treatment for bacteria and internial infections making sure the isolation tank is in perfect state ..

thanks a bunch you guys.
Its been 3-4 days now, not going on a month.
I'll have a look at that link now...
