Help: Slime Peeling off on motoro

I having the above problem
The slime on my motoro body seems to be peeling off.
I checked my ph n it is really low. I did a 30% wc and added in coral chip to buffer the water
My question is what i am doing enough?
Is the slime peeling off due to the low ph?? If not what is the cause of it?

Not sure about rays , but the same thing happened to my black ghost . Everything tested fine with the water . When I switched from 30% weekly to 30a5 twice a week it cleared up in 2 weeks and been fine ever since . I guess something I couldn't test was building up and irritating him . I tested for ammo, nitrite , nitrate , iron , co2 , calcium , ph , hardness and phosphates .

Sounds like an ammonia spike, it would also drop your ph.

30% water change huh? why dont you go do like 3 or 4 50% water changes in a row...
