I not sure if this is in the right forum but I know you guys will help. I was busy with my bros wedding the past couple of days and so I had my roommate feed my fish. I think he might have over fed the Plecos. There is still left over algae wafers dissolving on the bottom. It seems to have fungus growing on it. Seems to be a white fluffy cotton shaped stuff. That was last night when I came home. Then I wake up this morning and the white stuf is all over my glass!!!

Is it safe? will it kill my fish?
What do I do to get rid of it?
Any products out there?
I just did a 25% water change 2 days ago, I added correct salt and water conditioners.

thanks in advance

clean all the surfaces where the fungus is. do a water change. wont kill the fish, make sure you get all the algae out

if i clean it off, will the filter take care of it? I have 3 emperor 400? I really don't have the time to do a complete water change. Is there something I can buy to get rid of it that won't kill my fish?

Scrape it off the glass while doing a small waterchange. Suck it out with the hose. You removed the old food, right?
