u cant really tell by that view? but is the eye bulging out? it looks like its popping out a 1inch???? might be droopy eye but its not tilting down? so i have no clue hahaha. sorry for the helpless help

You can't really tell from the pic, but it could be drop eye. If it is, it's a very common problem that effects aros, particularly silvers, as they grow. Here is a link to a site with some good info on drop eye, http://arowanaclub.com/stories.php?story=03/01/14/2046318.

If it's not drop eye, another possible cause of the problem could be "pop eye" or exophthalmus. This could be caused by a variety of problems, including bacterial infection, viruses, parasites, or problems with water quality. I experienced this problem with a managuensis I kept. I held off on feeding him for a few days and did some water changes, making sure that the water quality was immaculate, and it went away. Here is a site I found on pop eye that may be useful, http://www.flippersandfins.net/pop-eye.htm. You should first figure out the cause of the problem before treating it. Perhaps some clearer pics could help some of the more knowledgeable guys identify the problem. Good luck

How are your nitrates? & other water parameters??

Water changes will help you out!!

i did a water change yesterday but other than that water paramiters are all good he is normal eye is fine just a little out more than the other i try and get better pics but its hard because he is continusly moving. he seems fine i was just woundering if i should be worried

One of my fish had that problem before, i did'nt know what to do, so all i did was add some salt to the aquarium and the next day it was back to normal. I really don't know how salt could have helped it but it worked! :woot: GL!
