help stocking first large aquarium

I want to know what you guys think about this stocking... a 150 gallon with one tiger Oscar/ 2 black clown knife/ 3 Senegal bichir. And any other fish to go with these ones if they work.

I will grow them out some to make sure no one can eat each other when I add them to the tank.

Also help on a good way to feed these guys that won't make me go broke. And feeder guppies that I raise as a treat for live fish when younger.

Idk about the 2 clown knives, one clown alone isn't a small fish. Oscar might get pissy eventually as well. The bichirs are proooobably fine though. Maybe get a couple African brown knives instead of CKs?

Is their such a thing as a black clown knife ? Or are you referring to a ghost knife? Either way large fish. I had two 17 inch tiger oscars n my 180 after 7 years they would have epic battles loosing me 20 gal at a time eventually resulting in "one eye Willy's " death a 3 am fall to the floor threw glass lids. Great fish just be prepared for their Argo side lol

OK how about the 3 Senegal's and one black ghost knife. I would like to keep the Oscar but if not any other recommendations for me cause that seems a bit bare.

Wouldn't do two bgks. They are very territorial. Just stick with one if you still want one.

you could try some different polys (bichirs) but have had them bite black ghosts tails of before. wouldn't get other cichlids because the oscars will bully them a lot. plecs and other armoured catfish will go well with that lot.

i agree with pleco and armored catfish.they are not aggresive and i am pretty sure they can hold their own in your tank.but i don't recommend megalodoras and ripsaw catfish
