My 11" Humerosa ray has some weird white mark on the back of her tail, does any one have any idea of what this may be?? She is eating fine and is active. She shares the tan with a silver arowana, a royal pleco, a RTGG and a red tail black shark. Sorry the pics are the best I can do right now.

I say its fungus, most likely to fall off.

tail rot, increase water changes and watch nitrates

possible.....

what else is in the tanks... ive had that alot when i had multiple rays in a tank together.... either way up your water changes and add some salt 2#s per 100 should do the trick quite nice...

My male motoro would chew on the end of the female's tail. Looked very similar to your picture. Small sections would fall off. She lost about 1.5" of her tail because of him.

I'd move the rtgg and the red tailed black shark.....Keep an eye out for the pleco. One of them did this.

My first pair of retics, my female had something similar to what you are experiencing. It soon fell off and it never affected her in any way....healed up and never noticed what happened.
