The build for this will be in PA

It *looks* like a fiberglass tank with a front window.
Goal dimensions are 10’ wide, 8’ tall, and 4’ from front glass to back wall. These are NEGOTIABLE. We want the best bang for buck. Height is our most important consideration: taller is better. When in doubt get the pricing for anything even close. Side windows are also a “preferred” but not necessary.

Will need to be built delivered in like 8 weeks for around $20,000 or less.

Attached photos show the beginning of the build and Mock-Up for the tank.

If anyone can help or at least point me in the right direction that would be great!

hahahahahhahahahahaahahhahahhahahahahahahaaahahahaha

You need 4 inch thick acrylic, it's going to cost 20k for the front panel alone and good luck doing this all in 8 weeks considering the current supply chain.

Sorry, but I don't think it is possible to have a tall 2500 gallon tank built for $20K or even double that.

You could contact Waterdog Products who builds large custom fiberglass tanks and get a quote.

Agreed. 4 inch acrylic is like gold. I would say in total, the acrylic would cost 30-40k. Glass is more expensive. Try contacting a contractor for the tank, as from what I have read, they are the best, and negotiable.

Agree with the others. I would say it's impossible in 8 weeks lead time, unless you happen to find a used tank built to those exact specs. Doubtful on that though. 4" acrylic sounds about right...tbh I'm just spitballing because 8' height is way beyond my skill level.

That being said, with enough cash, anything is possible. I'm sure somewhere in the world there is a stockpile of the materials you need and the contractor to put it together. If you're willing to put up the kind of dough that puts all of them in your house within 8 weeks, I'd say it can be done. Will be a hell of a lot more than $20k though.

I disagree with some of the other post. The large window will be expensive and difficult....but you could do 2 smaller 3'x4' windows with 3/4 inch glass.... will cost hundreds....not thousands. I have made 3 large indoor ponds. The problem with a tall tank is with 20,000 pounds of water the sides will bow/leak if you don't make it properly. I would suggest concrete reenforced with rebar. Some concrete is stronger than others. My engineer son suggested 8" thick walls for my 5000 gallon pond. I went with 12 inches. Putting the glass in the concrete is simple (not easy). You will want to think about the flow of the tank 8' is deep. May I ask why not go wider and shorter? MUCH easier engineering. Our pond is 5.5 ft deep.... but we dug down 3 feet. So we only have 2.5 feet above ground....no bowing or leaking. Don't skimp on filtration and pumps.
