I have two tanks that now have ich just noticed it in my cichlid tank today and my other tank has had it for about a week now . I have been treating the one with heat and water changes . The problem is I am going on vacation for a week and I don't know what to do I don't want to come home to empty tanks .does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do ? I have someone to feed them but they will have no clue how to do anything else I am leaving in 2 days, should I try to crank the heat up really high for 2 days ? Or get some meds? I know this takes time to get rid of but I really hate to loose all my fish .

What fish are these? Tank size? Filtration? Please give the specs so we can come up with a plan.

Tank is a 90 gallon I have a fluval 405 and aqua clear 110 tank has aeration , have a jack dempsey ,firemouth ,and a vieja argentea

It seems bad if its been there a week already...add salt right now...do a water change before u go on vacation n add more salt...crank heat up to 84-86...no need to higher than that...good luck
