Its the glass weighed version I had it tied to the corner so they couldnt smash it. I am doing a water change right now and the bottom with the weight is broke!!!!!! I have no idea when this happened etc. I will look for the little balls on the substrate, any ideas what I should look for if they happened to eat these little, I am guessing, lead balls?

I am sorry to hear that. I have no clue what you should do other then gravel really well for all the pieces. I have had them break in the tub, go down the toilet, break on floor, but never in the tank.

I had this happen a long time ago. From what I understand, the little weights are steel and the "mercury" is actually colored alcohol. My oscar broke one, but none of the fish seemed to be bothered by it.

If you can, get the little pieces out of the tank. If you can't, I wouldn't worry too much.

Get the little balls out with a magnet!

Ah good news to hear! I searched all over for little balls but didnt find anything, I found some glass so I took that out. I might try that magnet idea, just need to find a big one other than the letters on the fridge. Thanks all
