I need help trapping a pleco in my tank it is impossible to get it out due to the fish background we installed in the tank. Any trap ideas would be greatly appreciated. The fish completely forgot that it is a pleco hunts and never comes out of hiding.

set-up some sort of box with cucumber in it, wait for pleco to go in; then trap him. Sounds like a rough situation though, i can see how that would get infuriating very quickly

I hate catching fish that hide.

Are you tearing the tank down? I'd drain the water down to almost nothing and tilt it(tank) away from the background.

If not do as already suggested. Be warned though, plecos don't always respond to food right away, so be ready to wait.

If all else fails I'm going to drain the tank it's been messing with my motoro stingray :/

you can put a pleco cave in there (glue 4 pieces of slate together with a 5th piece for a back so there is one open end) and he will go in there, and then pull on the top and bottom of the cave and it will fall apart so you can pick up the pleco and put him in the tank he is meant to go in.
