My TSN spooked when i walked in the room and slammed his head into the side of the tank and broke his nose. he now has a v shaped red gash on his nose and a bent nose. Is there anything i can do to correct this? will he die? I fed him afterwards and he ate. Any way i can speed up the healing process other than waterchanges and some aquarium salt?

lots of shovel noses do this and stay damaged for ever.
i had never had this untill one of my limas did it recently luckily as it healed it pulled back into shape and just has a scar to show for it.
i think that you made a mistake feeding the fish, if this had been my tsn or similar sized fish i would have caught it in a koi net and pinning the body with one arm eased the nose about halfway back. then floated it in the net for a while before release (the idea of the floating period being to allow the fish to calm down and hopefully not smash the nose again).
you might want to think about some large plastic plants for the back and sides of the tank this discourages collisions.
